Big Trouble Movie Story - Synopsis. The story of how a mysterious suitcase changes, the lives of an unhappy housewife, a divorced dad, two FBI men, a pair of street thugs, two lovestruck teens, a psychedelic toad and two hitmen, . In Barry Sonnenfeld's BIG TROUBLE, based on the novel by Dave Barry, Tim Allen , a former Miami Herald columnist whose wife has left him, drives a Geo, and has a bad relationship with his teenage son, Matt (Foster). When Eliot meets Anna Herk (aRene Russo), the wife of moneyman Arthur (Tucci) and the mother of Jenny (ZDeschanel), whom Matt is trying to supersoak, they are immediately attracted to each other. Puggy (Lee), a Fritos fetishist who lives in a tree, falls for the Herks' maid, Nina (Vergara), as two hit men from Newark (Farina and Kehler) out to whack a sometimes wigged-out Arthur also attempt to stay away from the cops (an officer played by Janeane Garofalo and Patrick Warburton). Throw in a psycho security guard (Richter), two top-secret FBI agents, two lowlife cons (Sizemore and Knoxville), some Russian mobsters, and a big silver box that probably does not have a household appliance in it and you have a screwball comedy that is as funny as it is wildly complicated. From Dave Barry, comes a film following a chain of events inspired by the arrival of a mysterious suitcase in Miami. Arthur Herk, a business owner, wants to get his hands on the case. Tired of his constant fixation on drinking and television, Herk's wife Anna and daughter Jenny decide to find new friends in divorced dad Eliot Arnold and his son Matt. Just to add more complication to this plot, two thieves decide to steal the case and lead a Miami police team and two FBI agents on a wild goose chase that ends inside the airport terminal.
